With Ru Xiang, Jin Yin Hua, Mo Yao and Lian Qiao, for pain and swelling associated with boils and abscesses.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 15g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, disperses Cold, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
With Jin Yin Hua, reduces obstruction and toxicity for swollen, painful sores and necrosis of surrounding tissue.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 15g Clears Heat, dries Dampness , drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Qiang Ho, for Cold-Dampness at the Exterior with Heat in the Interior.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels, unblocks menstruation and alleviates pain.

  • Stabbing pain in the epigastrium which is worse with pressure

  • * Sheng Cao Wu, Sheng Chuan Wu, Sheng Ban Xia and Sheng Nan Xing are all toxic and are not appropriate for Internal use.
HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS

NOTES

  • Fry the ingredients in 250g lard, 250g sesame oil and 250g tung oil until they are withered. Decoct and filter. Add 10g Zhang Dan and 15g white wax to the filtrate and make into a plaster and applied to the area.
